The holiday season is fast approaching and the Temescal Telegraph BID is organizing a Temescal Holiday Art Fair for Bay Area shoppers to enjoy a “one-stop” shop for all your holiday needs, from one-of-a-kind creations by Oakland artists, to amazing and unique gifts by Temescal retailers as well as enjoy some holiday entertainment and cheer.
Within a warm festive tent, located at 5110 Telegraph St (at 51st)
Temescal’s local artisans will offer figurative sculpture, paintings, display books, decorated calabashes, wire table top forms, watercolors, holiday ornaments, dolls, fabric bags, and more!
Participating artists include: Deborah Samia (sculptor), Jennifer Lee, Roanne Zaragoza (pastels), Abeba Wright (clothing, jewelry & accessories), Stephanie Hatch (mixed media, original prints, printed bags & collage art buttons), Maureen Dixon (fabric bags, crochet), Stevonne Ratliff (beauty products, apothecary goods, candles), Karen Oyekanmi (hand-made dolls & accessories), Robert Temple (art lamps, light sculptures), Cori Pillow (prints of original paintings), Carrie Sownie (handmade reindeer antlers), and more!
Complimenting these vendors, the Temescal Holiday Art Fair will feature lots of family-friendly activities including a holiday photo booth with appearances by Santa Claus to capture those holiday memories! While you shop and peruse the unique gifts, families are encouraged to bring the kids to enjoy a fun art project with FLAX art & design, holiday music and a games pavilion for all ages by It's Your Move Games & Hobbies. Warm up between shopping and holiday activities with delicious food by Kenny's Heart and Soul, hot beverages and more.
