The Mosswood Easter Egg Hunt has become one of the largest FREE events for kids in Oakland!
The Oakland Mosswood Easter Egg Hunt Volunteer Committee provides over 2000 lunches for kids in the neighborhood, run Easter Egg Hunts (passing out over 1 Million pieces of candy) for ages 1 - 14, and give away bicycles to 25 kids each year.  The event is sponsored by the Oakland Parks & Recreation Department and PG&E, but run mostly by volunteers from the community.  All kids are provided a free bag lunch, an Easter Basket, an Easter Egg Hunt (specific to their age group), kid-friendly entertainment, jumpy houses, and the chance to win a bicycle.  The motivation to do this Easter Egg Hunt each year is to provide a fun, safe, memorable event for Oakland families to have.
