The 10th Annual Temescal Street Fair
Sunday, July 7th, 2013, Noon to 6pm

What started in 2004 as a little street fest sponsored by a small group of local merchants has blossomed into one of Oakland's premier cultural events. In 2005, the Telegraph Temescal Business Improvement District (TTBID) took over the fair's sponsorship and, since then, the event's growth has been exponential. 2012 boasted four stages (the Main stage, Kid's stage and two Jazz stages) and three additional blocks of vendors, offering even more opportunities to promote local artists, craftspeople and creative dare-to-doers, representing the area's rich tapestry of creativity and culture.

The TTBID is a certified green organization and the Street Fair is a
green event! We will be highlighting selected “green businesses” and a few
environmental non-profits for our “green zone.”

The Mosswood Easter Egg Hunt has become one of the largest FREE events for kids in Oakland!

The Oakland Mosswood Easter Egg Hunt Volunteer Committee provides over 2000 lunches for kids in the neighborhood, run Easter Egg Hunts (passing out over 1 Million pieces of candy) for ages 1 - 14, and give away bicycles to 25 kids each year .  The event is sponsored by the Oakland Parks & Recreation Department and PG&E, but run mostly by volunteers from the community.  All kids are provided a free bag lunch, an Easter Basket, an Easter Egg Hunt (specific to their age group), kid-friendly entertainment, jumpy houses, and the chance to win a bicycle .  The motivation to do this Easter Egg Hunt each year is to provide a fun, safe, memorable event for Oakland families to have.
