Taste of Temescal returns for 2020 with over 25 participating restaurants on Tuesday, March 17th, 6:00- 8:30pm! Scintillate your palates with this culinary crawl, one of Temescal’s most delectable annual events! Enjoy an evening of food, drink, live music and fabulous prizes. along Telegraph Avenue from 40th to 52nd Streets, Temescal Alley, and Claremont Ave. This is a green event too!

Temescal Trick or Treat 2019

Kids of all ages and parents, come and stroll Telegraph Ave and collect treats from local merchants. Start at The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse and grab a halloween tote for all your candy, then head over to Ruby’s Garden Kidwear & Gift costume contest, trick and treat your way down to Flying Studios for their family dance party, and enter the apple bobbing contest at Ancient Ways!

Come celebrate Oakland’s first Rainbow Crosswalks, Oakland Pride & our amazing Upper Telegraph community!  There will be: Queer First Fridays DJ’s and Dance Party, Drag shows, food, drinks and more. This event also celebrates that the City of Oakland has agreed to repaint our volunteer-created rainbow crosswalks, with a plan to permit permanent crosswalks!!

This position is ideal to launch a career in community development, marketing, event planning, or business development. The chosen candidate will be involved in all aspects of the TTBID’s marketing, events, and program support and will work under the supervision of and with support from the Executive Director.

Temescal Public Art Walking Tour

Join the Temescal Telegraph Business District – Oakland (TTBID) for a guided walking tour of Temescal’s public art. The walking tour will include: a recap of Temescal’s rich history, Q&A with contributing artists, and an interactive mural painting with Bukue One. Together we’ll explore the art that takes up the walls of our favorite venues, the intersections of our streets, and the local landmarks we often overlook.
