Oakland Pride 2020: Liberation Through Community | September 6 – September 13 | Virtual Celebration | Registration Deadline of August 31

Oakland Pride has made the decision to cancel its in-person events for 2020, including the 11th annual Oakland Pride Parade, and move the festival to a virtual format.

Join the Virtual Vendor Village:
Each Virtual Booth showcases a business’s product or service with space to link your website or online store (Shopify compatible!), and the capacity to host group or 1-on-1 video chats with festival attendees and anyone that visits the site, AND is part of Oakland Pride’s searchable event/booth directory.  Additionally, rather than a single day of Festival exposure, the Virtual Vendor Village will be live and available to the public for the entire month of September, meaning more engagement, more chances to connect with the community, and more time to promote your online presence. Register for the Virtual Vendor Village hereOrders for exhibitor space will be accepted until August 31, 2020. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to
katie@oaklandpride.org for assistance.

Oakland Pride is also encouraging local LGBTQ+ artists and performers to register to host their booth space for free, in an effort to promote the queer creative and nightlife folks that have faced loss of income/employment due to COVID-19.

Perform at Oakland Pride:
Oakland Pride will be streaming on dozens of channels via Twitch. Each channel with focus on different groups (Latinx, children and family, pride after dark, etc) Performers looking to be featured should email Katie@oaklandpride.org to indicate interest in participating. Please be patient, as Oakland Pride is in the process of organizing channel managers, who will manage the scheduling, and programming for each of their individual channels.

Dining Out for Life information:
Restaurants are invited to participate in Dining Out for Life, which is an annual dining fundraising event that raise money for community-based organizations serving people living with or impacted by HIV. This year, restaurants participating in Dining Out for Life are not asked to donate directly. Instead, Dining Out for Life will promote both the restaurants and Project Open Hand by encouraging the community to order from participating restaurants and encouraging those customers to also donate to Project Open Hand. Customers can order through DOFL’s website during the event (all September) and there will be an option during checkout to donate to Project Open Hand, if desired.
