Temescal Public Art Walking Tour

Saturday, May 18, 2019 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join the Temescal Telegraph Business Improvement District (TTBID) for a guided walking tour of Temescal’s public art. The walking tour will include: a recap of Temescal’s rich history, Q&A with contributing artists, and an interactive mural painting.  Together we’ll explore the art that takes up the walls of our favorite venues, the intersections of our streets, and the local landmarks we often overlook.

This walking tour will begin at Beauty’s Bagel Shop and end at Telegraph and 51st St.  (~1 mile). This experience begins at 12 pm and will last approximately two hours. If you can’t make the guided tour, grab your copy of the Temescal Art Map for free at local merchants to conduct a DIY tour.

The Temescal Public Art Walk is hosted by Jena Dominique, CEO & Founder of StreetSalad.Co. As the creator of the Oakland Postcard Scavenger Hunt, Jena exposes guests to the local culture they crave, along with providing a postcard to personally invite and promote the pictured place to a recipient within their network. Jena has been leading experiences in Temescal over the last two years.

Participation in the live mural painting is available for individuals 12 years and older. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
