On Saturday, July 17th, The Freedom Farmers’ Market will open for the 8th season in collaboration with the Temescal BID in Temescal at Kasper’s Plaza at 4521 Telegraph Ave! Freedom Farmers’ Market offers unique produce and food, showcasing traditional legacy foods from Black farmers and other sustainable farmers into Oakland. The Temescal BID is excited to bring weekly fresh produce and local foods every Saturday to the heart of Temescal, partnering with Freedom Farmers’ Market and supporting their mission of engaging a community vibe of self-reliance, cooperative community development, and healthy sustainable environments for all. Attend the Opening Day Celebrations on Saturday, July 17th to join the Temescal BID and Farms to Grow in supporting the freedom to choose affordable local food and freedom to access fresh food grown by Black farmers.
